Sanjiv Ranchod and I were both at Westerford High School when we built Flippit for Oxford University Press South Africa. We were still studying for matric ourselves, so we knew what it was like to revise for those exams.
The Android app let learners use flashcards, test themselves, and compete with each other. Launch coverage listed fourteen matric subjects.
Flippit was one of my first consulting jobs. By my final year, my businesses and client projects were taking up so much time that the school gave me an exemption from attending classes so I could work.
