At about twelve I started building websites to see if I could earn money online. I put Amazon affiliate links on WordPress sites and built a travel booking site called TravelFish. It was one of the first times I thought of a website of mine as a business.
The Internet Archive has a 2009 copy of TravelFish.net and a 2010 copy of capetown-travel.com. I think they were the same project, though I don’t remember exactly when the name or domain changed.
The pages list flights, hotels, car hire, and destination guides. On the Cape Town site you can also see how the accommodation search and affiliate booking links worked.
